At ADDE we are currently updating our membership list. If you are interested in advocacy issues and employment for people with disabilities and other disadvantages please find the attached ADDE membership form and fill it in and return it to 86-88 Herbert Street, Northcote, Victoria 3070. Thank you. At ADDE our mission is to increase employment opportunities for people with disabilities and from diverse backgrounds in Australia. For those of you who are not aware we were officially formed on September 7, 2005 at Victorian Council of Social Services (VCOSS). ADDE promotes pro-active employment policies and practices for disadvantaged groups including people with disabilities, mature age workers, people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds as well as indigenous people. People who fall into more than one of these categories are recognised as being even more disadvantaged. Therefore, we see a greater need for a change of attitude and awareness. Australians for Disability and Diversity Employment (ADDE) is an organisation where you can add to the growing voice for change so that the idea of social inclusion will become more of a reality. As the Membership Development Officer at Australians for Disability and Diversity Employment (ADDE) and a student of Leadership Plus I strongly believe that ADDE is at the right place at the right time in regard to disability employment issues. ADDE provides the formal structure and framework to make it possible for people with disabilities and other disadvantages to create their own employment opportunities and to gain employment experience based on their own skill capacity. Australians for Disability and Diversity Employment (ADDE) provides the opportunity for people to add their voice to the growing number of voices advocating for systemic change throughout Victoria. If you are interested or may know someone who may be interested in becoming a member of Australians for Disability and Diversity Employment (ADDE) please contact or refer people to Michael Merrett, Membership Development Officer by email: mickem71@hotmail.com or mobile: 0434339003.
